The Super Senior Supper, for seniors with perfect records, gave us something to strive for as we became seniors. The year ended with the election of our Senior Class Officers and our long awaited Junior Semi-Formal. A Junior Prom had been absent from Wilby for a long time. Our motto was We’ve got more in 84. Our Christmas ornament fund-raiser was a great success and it enabled us to make big plans for class activities. That year's Homecoming theme was 'You've come a long way Wilby! And we sure have! We were the first class in Wilby to have a ring ceremony, a joyous occasion for us all. Our basketball team made the whole school proud as we saw them win the region cham- pionship and make it to the state championship game. 8 Introduction

Senior Year - 1984 - It finally arrived. No more looking up to the Mighty, Mighty Sen- iors - We were they! We've been through a lot together, good and bad, and we will keep these memories for a long time. The football team ended their streak and for the first time since being in Wilby we finally saw them win. We all enjoyed laughing when the players cheered for us at a rally in cheerleading uniforms. Our Homecoming theme was This Is Our Town and our pride showed as many of us became involved with our Homecoming Pa- rade. Our Senior Class Officers: Dennis Arroyo (President), Mike McCormick (Vice Presi- dent), Wendy Santa Maria (Secretary), and Kim Semple (Treasurer), worked hard with our advisors and led us to another successful year. We had a magazine drive, another ornament sale and we had a lot of fun with our Valentine Carnation sale and our Breakdance Exhibition. 10 Introduction
