Theresa Cretella Mrs. Cretella is a graduate of Wilby High School. She received her Bachelor of Science from Central Connecticut College where she majored in Secretarial Studies and minored in Social Studies. Continuing in Business Education she received her Master's degree from Central Connecticut College and is also a member of Delta Pi Epsilon. She is an adviser for Future Business Leaders of America and our senior adviser for yearbook. 6

William LaVallee Mr. William LaVallee, raised in Waterbury's East End, attended Chase Grammar School, Crosby High School, and graduated with a B. S. in Art from Southern Con- necticut State College in 1976. Mr. LaVallee joined the Wilby High School faculty in 1977. The following year, the student body chose Mr. LaVallee as their class adviser. Mr. LaVallee feels being a class adviser is rewarding, fulfilling, and a lot of fun. He feels this has given him the opportunity to work and help the students achieve what they want. From this achievement comes the gratification in words of appreciation for him. Mr. LaVallee enjoys teaching his students and working with the faculty of Wilby. At this time, Mr. LaVallee wishes to extend his thanks to all the people of Wilby who have helped him, and to the Junior and Senior class officers for the outstanding work they have done. Also, he would like to thank his co-adviser, Miss Kathleen McGrath, for her invalu- able and enthusiastic effort in making the class of 1979 a success. Mr. LaVallee is proud and honored to have the Class of 1979 dedicated their year- book to him, and he wishes them the best of success, health, and happiness in their endeavers.

Principal Domenic V. Coviello Seniors, you who are the first class graduating from the new Wilby, have had the opportunity of experiencing school life in a new and beautiful complex — the only one in the states. This means that you have gotten the chance of at least one year to work with and use our new facilities. Many people have worked to get this school started: and you as the upper classmen, have shown leadership and set a good example for the other classes. You are a group brought together from all walks of life. You nave been given chances to relate with your classmates by being taught in fields of your interest that will make the transition from school to on-the job training or preparation for college. This new complex should enlighten your knowledge. I am proud to see your group, the first group, to graduate from the New wilby1'. Philip Leonard! Louis Mazzaferro Vice Principals They are known as our friendly announcers on our new P.A. system. With just a push of the button they can be heard anytime or anywhere. You will also see them patrolling the halls to make sure everyone is in class on time. They are present in our cafe, and remind us to keep our tables clean. This is a new building and experience for them as well as us. They wisn us good health, luck and happiness.
