I ' 'numf..- THE 'I960 ANNUAL STAFF OF WILBUR HIGH SCHOOL WILBU R, WASHINGTON PROUDLY PRESENTS The Tomahawk THE THEME - 'OUR N EW SCHOOL' Our new school was completed in September of 1959. Among the many outstanding features is the student court. This has already proved to be very useful. Between classes and at noon hour it is used as a socializing area by the students. On other occasions it is used for pep rallies, assemblies, and dances. Another modern feature of our school is the library. This contains separate units for both the grade school and the high school. Outstanding is the reference section. This section has a variety of books available at any time for research. The under ground tunnel is unusual as well as convenient. This is used during bad weather by students who have classes in the old building, and also those who eat lunch at school. Our new school is much quieter than the old building. Classes are no longer inter- rupted by students passing through the hall. Other advantages are better lighting, more room, and much more convenience. The most important advantage is safety. The new building is fire proof, and, if necessary, could be evacuated in little time. Viewing the finished product, we are all very proud of OUR NEW SCHOOL . 1 Address to Seniors High School Commencement means two things to you new graduates. It means an end to the way of life that you have become accustomed to during the the past four years. It also means the beginning of a new way of life 4 that of marriage, an occupation, service in a branch of the armed forces or further education and training. Whatever choices you will make con- cerning your future, I sincerely hope that your high school experiences have provided a sound basis for your future successes.
