1 1 if QUIOI' IU-B9 In the year of 1989 the Placement Bureau of the Widefield School District decided to do a survey on the first graduating very interesting occupations held by the class of 1959. Incidentally, Security Village has grown to include the former small towns--Colorado Springs, Pueblo, and Denver. In answer to our questionere we received the following results: OB LONGFIELD has just been named president of the Space Travel Vacuum Suit Mfg., Co. Bob has just purchased the largest castle in the universe for his little girl, SUE, so she can have plenty of hall space to run in without being bothered by anyone. CANDY McCORD, an interplanetary social worker, has been doing a study of the I.Q.'s of the people who live on the dark side of the moon. While there, she ran into DAN DANE, who is heading a team of engineers surveying the moon for a housing development financed by Bob Longfield. JIM M LLER is doing the architectural work on the houses. However, we wonder just how much of the work he is actually doing, as BECKY NOWLIN is the interior decorator for the firm. JOE STORM is head of the sales department for Space Rides, Inc. Joe sent word that he has made it possible for any of his former instructors to make a oneeway trip to the next galaxy free. COURTNEY DAY has just been named Chief of the Interplanetary Bureau of Investigation. GERALD HALL couldn't decide what occupation he wanted to follow after college so returned to college and now informs us that he will be the first graduate from the new college on Neptune. JOHN DUNGAN, after a career with the Air Force, became a test pilot for space ships. HAROLD ASHER found his job in Civil Service work and is interviewing people for work on government-owned space stations. LEROY WASINGER is setting up a system of laws that will govern interplanetary travel. JACK STUTTS and DENIS GREER, after getting their early training with the Coast Guard, formed a Charter Boat Company. They inform us they now have a boat that will float to the moon. JAN ABERNATHY, after spending many years with the Bell Telephone Co., has gone to the moon to set up the communications system. His sideline is developing comedians for space television. BILL YEO was a high school coach for several years, but decided to pass the ulcers he acquired in coaching, on to others, so he has established a restaurant on Mars. ALLEN LIVINGSTON, after years of laboratory research for the government has joined Bill Yeo and is developing new foods for the restaurant. He is called nThe Arthur Murray of Space.U JERRY REIHER has just been named the manager of the Martain Baseball entry in the Space Baseball League. Prior to this, Jerry had many successful years coaching his beloved Milwaukee Braves. ROSELLA KOHLER, after twenty years of service with the Waves, is Commander of the Armed Forces' on Venus, which, we understand, is the reverse of elsewhere-women are the controlling force. JULIA SCHUH ACHER sends word that she has given up her life as a school and industrial counselor, and she now has a consultant service for marriages between planetary couples. NANCY GRIFFEE, now known as Mrs. Don Foster, tells us that, after a brief career as a secretary, she has settled down to take care of the space station where she lives with Don and her ten children. ROSE SHEARER has forsaken her job with Civil Service to take pictures of the solar system for Space Travel Advertisement. ' CARMA NORMAN has given up her secretarial job to teach dancing on Venus. MATTIE HUNTER, using her vast experience as a secretary, has set up a Business College on a space station between Earth and Neptune. SANDRA ZIEMANN has become the first person to have piano music carried over the space waves to entertain the space travelers. DAN GLOM N, because of his many years of professional basketball experience has been chosen to teach basketball to the four-legged inhabitants of Pluto. ONNIE GENTRY'S work in the high school office paid off for her. She is now a secretary on 47' . ff fl-r M -',, .Llp class of the high school. Now 30 years later, we find some 1 , ,H -, Venus. MEREDITH MCMAHAN went to the moon, after a short career as a nurse, to organize a nursery school for space children. MARGARET EDWARDS is on the moon working as a secretary at a space station. BRUCE MQCALLSON, the Class president, has left his Naval career and is prospecting for rare min- erals on various planets. Finding all seniors for 1959 working in space proves the idea that the first graduating class was truly an unusual one.
