Student Government Revises Constitution The Wicomico Senior High School student government had an active year under the leadership of the president, David Dea- son. Other officers were Darius Deshields, first vice-president; Gene Gordner, second vice-president; Janice Morris, third vice- president; Cherie Purnell, secretary; Bronda Mills, treasurer, and Tad Romine, parliamentarian. The first highlight of the year was the Homecoming activities, followed by the student involvement to raise money to build a student courtyard beside the library. There was only one school dance sponsored by the student government. This was the St. Patrick ' s Day Dance with Cross¬ eyed Jack. The climax of the year was the revision of the constitution. A committee under the chairmanship of Greg Niblett, Tad Romine, and Dean Langrall worked from November to April to revise the constitution and it was accepted and ratified by the student government on May 1. The constitution is much longer and more detailed, and will provide for better organized student governments in the future. 26
