hge' ' Changes are inevitable and Wichita Falls Senior High School cannot escape them, although it has reigned for thirty-five years as the only high school in the city. Through its unity it has become strong and has built high standards of accomplishment in every student. WFSH has always sought to develop in every graduate a sense of duty toward his generation and a longing to play Worthily his role in life. Many of those who now run our government, make our laws, cure us when we are ill, help us when we need spiritual guidance, teach our children, build our roads and skyscrapers, defend our rights, and fight for our freedom are graduates of this school. Some of these graduates walk confidently along the streets of Wichita Falls daily, wearing the inv'isible stamp of the Coyote spirit. Many of them think, as they go along, of their sons and daughters now in WFSH who are also developing that willingness to share both the good and the bad with resolute hearts-the unmistakable sign of graduates of this school. Yes, many students remain or return to Wichita Falls to further the growth of the city and send their children to the school that merits the confidence of every family. That indefinable spirit remains in each one and draws him back to his home town ready to strengthen it with loyal devotion. With great pride and sincere affection, the 1961 Coyote Staff, who recognize and appreciate this high school, wish to dedicate this yearbook to Wichita Falls Senior High.
