The main stumbling block that lay in the way was the time element. Time means everything, and in sports it is no exception. Because of a late start, the Coyotes had to tight an uphill battle against teams who had had weeks and even months more practice than the Coyotes. Despite this late start, the Coyotes played their best game against the district champions, Graham, by holding them to a 23-I9 win. This was also the last Coyote game to several of the boys. V ' 6 IS 62 6 MQ OUR APPRECIATION We, the members of the 1947 Coyote Staff, wish to thank those students who have aided us so much in the completion of the annual. To our third year art class we are indebted for the layouts in the faculty section- Our thanks go to Billy Carter and Earl Yarbro for their assistance in the typing of copy. Too, we want to thank the Coyote English representatives for their help in the picture drive and distribution of the annuals. The entire faculty and student group have given splendid cooperation in the final production of THE COYOTE, to all we are grateful. We feel that we have given sufficient space in this section for all your friends' autographs. Time, thought and effort have been put into every page to make this book one you will cherish in later years. For this reason, we feel that you will not want to write on the printed pages, since this would mar the appearance of your COYOTE.
