. --:l1...ii-.,i THE GLEE CLUBS Whitmng High's music organizatlons, under Miss Lois Lee R1chardson's capabl supe vislon, ga'ned recognition at various school performances and music festivals during the past school year The Boys' Glee Club made ts first appearances at the School Visitatlon Nlght on November 9 and at the Thanks giving Assembly on November 24 Several numbers were pre sented by the boys at the h1gh school production entitled, 'Music of Our Nat1on, on February 4 'Bells of the Sea was the nu ber whlch they presented at the County Music Festival at Soldler on Narch 25 The presentation was rated III Their other appearances were at the all school play, at the Banks community meetlng, and at the baccalaureate and commencement exercises The Girls' Glee Club took part 1n several programs dur ing the fall of 1948 These lncluded presentations at the Visitation N1ght program, the Thanksgiv1ng Assembly, and NMUSIG of Our hatlon, VH1t1Dg Hlgn s muslcal production and the Banks School commun1ty meeting Numbers were entered by the girls at the County Music Fest1val at Soldier on March 25 and at the Dlstzict MUSIC Festlval at Lawrence on Apr11 L They received a ll rating at both festlvals The appear anoes made bv the G1rls' Glee Club thls spr1ng were at the all school play, oaccalaureate, and commencement exercmses. o e r .' . - A . l .1 . . , , - . 0 - N 1 I 0 .
