CLASS PROPHECY I look into the future of the nine seniors, the class of '49, I see Phyllis Smith a model in a clothing store in California She will model evening gowns, party dresses, and play clothes Esther Harms, after she finishes high school, will goto college until she receives her degree then she will teach 1n a small school She will be a com ercial teacher, teach ing typing, bookeeping, and shorthand Loretta Spiker looks to me to be more of the secre tarial type I see her as a secretary in an insurance office in Topeka After she has worked there for several years she will be at the head of the office with a n bor of workers under her Esther Hutchinson, after she finishes school, will be a nurses' aid in a small hospital, but after she has done this for a few years she will go to a nurses' training school where she will acquire enough training to be a surgical nurse then she will work in a large hospital B111 Jones looks to me to be a man to run a pool hall in a small town about the size of Holton or Horton This pool hall will also have a bowling alley for men only, of course After he has done this for awhile and become tired and take it easy Carlton Ross i going to travel when he finishes school He is going down south to stay for a few years, only to find it 1sn't the place for him He will return to Mnmstofmm Gene Scheid will go to business college when he fin ishes high school and will later have a business of his own where he can give his own orders, instead of taking orders from someone else Harley Kreutzer was out out to be a farmer, I am sure He will work on his father's farm the first few years after he finishes school Later he will work in a garage Who knows, from all the ideas he gets he may even invent a car DeForrest Howes is last but not least, I had a hard time deciding on his career I see him working in an air plane hangar where he will give the airplanes their in ishing touches before they take off I certainly hope they make the trip Given by Grace Chick at the Junior Senior Banquet As ' . . . . , . . . . , . . . 3 . . . . of it, he will move to the city where he will have an office S . . .
