Jeanne, Karen lead graduating class of '7 This year's valedictorian, Jeanne Cosat possesses an active, eager, inquisitive, and Cas proven by her scholastic recordl an intelligent mind. Her enthusi- asm extends far beyond her studies, though, and her energy carried her into almost every facet of school life. From pom-pon routines, drama club comedies, band festivals, to a more practical typing course, Jeanne sped with unfailing good humor. Jeanne,s scholastic interests were varied-Latin III, physics, and editing the yearbook. She plans to study science at Purdue with the National Merit Scholarship she was awarded. The rewards of serious, conscientious study were realized at graduation by salutatorian Karen Giroud when she was named Hoosier Scholar. Aside from being a hard working student, Karen applied herself also toward being a useful and considerate member of society. As proof of her effort she was awarded the DAR Good Citizen Award in her senior year. As juniors she and Jeanne were delegates to Girls' State. As historian of FTA this year, Karen worked to compose the club's scrapbook. Karen plans to study teaching at ISU. 29
