Tax Assessor-Collector Business Manager And Secreia ries Our Tax Assessor-Collector and Business Manager, Mr. George. has been with Whitehouse Independent School Dis- trict for over twenty years. Mr. Davis does an outstandingjob of taking care of our school district's financial affairs. To help Mr. Davis with keeping these finances in order are four administrative secretaries - Mrs. Joyce Estridge, Mrs. Juanita Hagan, Mrs. Sue Hasten and Mrs. Cathy Williamson. In It .A J 3' HAROLD L. HIGGINS fksdsranl Superintendent For the past two years Lawrence Smith has filled the aflisistant super- intendent's position in the White- house lndependent School District. Mr. Smith was high school principal for 21 years. We really appreciate all the things he does for our school sys- tem. He is in charge of the lunch- room program which includes checking lunchroom records and approving lunchroom hills. Mr. Smith also works with Federal pro- grams. We now have l29 people employed in our school system as a direct result of various programs Mr. Smith has acquired including the compensatory programs and the SETA program. We are grateful to have an administrator in our school system who is as diligent and dedi- cated as Mr. Smith. 4 Supednlendenr Harold Higgins, superintendent of the Whitehouse Independent School District, is a man with much patience, determination, dedication and drive. During the 30 years he has been at Whitehouse, our school system has witnessed the construc- tion of a new high school, middle school, and intermediate school facilities. Among the many tasks of our superintendent are staff inter- views, student-parent conferences, and official meetings. Mr. Higgins provides the Whitehouse Schools with outstanding leadership. Dislricl-Wide Personnel Whitehouse Independent School District has three people who work at all four schools. Mrs. Edith Brewer is in charge of the libraries on all campuses. She is responsible for ordering and processing all books and audio visual materials, She is head of the high school English department. advisor for the yearbook. and sponsor for National Honor Society. Mrs, Sarah Davis is guidance counselor of our school district. Not only does she assist students with problems they might encounter. hut she also administers achievement and aptitude tests and helps the students with their schedules. Mrs. Nora Tucker. vocation counselor. helps high school stu- dents choose xocational programs and make career choices. She aids students in identifying their interests and aptitude, Mrs. Tucker also assists students with their schedules. These three people work hard to better our school system. and we appreciate them very much, Administration 21
