Mitch VanNorman reigns as queen On a cold, windy October night and after many long days of preparation, clubs and groups paraded their homecoming floats and queen candidates around the football field. The Homecoming theme was Muppet Madness. The creations on the floats depicted characters from Seasame Street and The Muppets TV shows. 1980 Homecoming Queen Laurie Kalinak crowned Michelle VanNorman as the 1981 queen (left).
