Charles Thornburg, a handsome lad is he, Think’s it is luck if he gets a D . One young lady, Sarah Angel, by name, Is almost sure to rise to fame. In all her classes she is up to par, And if she keeps climbing she’ll be a star. Where’s Annie Lois Murray, so young and bright Talking t o the boys-----her one delight. Bobby Ward, so dignified and pleasing, Always ready to help in time of need, And wethink he’s really good in selling magazine subscriptions. Olene Penny, so very jolly and gay, Seems to be happy all through the day. Now the young lady, who is very tall, Is Dorothy Davis, a good friend to all. There comes Gaye with a book. Why this? We must all take a lookl Of course, we don’t believe she will study. Oh, noi She is only looking for Juanita her buddy. Now, there is Miss Dorothy, dignified star, Which makes her and Evai Lois a noticable pair As slowly down the hall they go. There is one girl who has a lot of pride. This one is Miss Nathalie Holley, Who is a very good sport, we are all sure. She leads a life that's sweet and pure. Is Jerre Cole such a dignified type? Will Harvard Wheeler, we wonder, ever like Engli-sh? These questions we cannot answer yet, But we will someday, you bet. There is Arnette more widely known as Troy” He likes to sing, but never plays the piano, Although he walks and acks almost like a king. Oh, here comes Ernest Burns. It is he, I know, because he can sing.

Now classmates, we’ll have to say good-bye, But, do not let your love for White Plains die. Live in her thoughts and teachings forever, And never let her memory sever. So our dear Alama Mater, farewell to thee, May your g lorious halls never be free. From the echoing sound to always be true” And this we earnestly pledge to you. Gaye Cheatwood Class Poet
