Class Poem Harkl Ye people lend me an earl A story of the seniors of White Plains you’ll hear. They are a wise group, also very jolly, Smart indeed, but not immuned to folly. I have not a standard to judge their shapes and sizes, Nor even a definite color as to their hair and eyes. Oh, no, we’re not all alike, but rather assorted and a very nice class---so I've heard reportedI First, we'll take our sponsor, a lover of blue, Also capable of beating shorthand into our heads too. He's very adapt a band, knows many typing tricks, But tells us definitely----bookeeping and chewing gum will not mixI Then there's the rest of our teachers, all females. As to which is the most beautiful, it's hard to tell. One dark, one blond, and one between, But as to the most progressive? That's to be seen. Now we'll take the seniors-Mary Borden is first. She eats and eats at lunch, till she almost bursts. As a result this lady is rather plump And if she should fall down, oh what a bumpl Ronald Upshaw, who is very Cute. (Any other words just simply won't suit) Is very good and graceful at playing ball. Also very pleasant, not shy to girls at all. Syble Story, tho' high-tempered she may be, Is really smart as we all can see. She certainly knows her P Q's and all answers too. Betty Ann Reid is in a terrible plight Because, she does study with all her might. I think it's because she loves a Sr. 11. But, well, I won't tell her secrets to you. Otis Cain is wise as an old owl. Just let him make a C or D and you'll hear Him growl. Willie Wyatt Coleman a bus driver is he, Always neat and particular as can be. In all his classes he flirts With girls who wears glasses.

Charles Thornburg, a handsome lad is he, Think’s it is luck if he gets a D . One young lady, Sarah Angel, by name, Is almost sure to rise to fame. In all her classes she is up to par, And if she keeps climbing she’ll be a star. Where’s Annie Lois Murray, so young and bright Talking t o the boys-----her one delight. Bobby Ward, so dignified and pleasing, Always ready to help in time of need, And wethink he’s really good in selling magazine subscriptions. Olene Penny, so very jolly and gay, Seems to be happy all through the day. Now the young lady, who is very tall, Is Dorothy Davis, a good friend to all. There comes Gaye with a book. Why this? We must all take a lookl Of course, we don’t believe she will study. Oh, noi She is only looking for Juanita her buddy. Now, there is Miss Dorothy, dignified star, Which makes her and Evai Lois a noticable pair As slowly down the hall they go. There is one girl who has a lot of pride. This one is Miss Nathalie Holley, Who is a very good sport, we are all sure. She leads a life that's sweet and pure. Is Jerre Cole such a dignified type? Will Harvard Wheeler, we wonder, ever like Engli-sh? These questions we cannot answer yet, But we will someday, you bet. There is Arnette more widely known as Troy” He likes to sing, but never plays the piano, Although he walks and acks almost like a king. Oh, here comes Ernest Burns. It is he, I know, because he can sing.
