WHITE fit Dr. White came to Dallas as the principal of Sunset High School, climbing ten years later to duties as assistant superintendent. Then, in l945, he reached his esteemed posi- tion as Superintendent of the Dallas Independent School District. At the dedication of W. T. White High School, almost twenty years later, Robert S. Folsom, president of the Dal- las Board of Education, said of Dr. White: This man is truly the outstanding adminis- trator in the countryf' During the time that he has h e e n superintendent o f Schools, Dr. Vlfhite has boosted scholastic accomplishment. He has kept pace with technologi- cal, social, and economic changes which are so impor- tant to the growth of Dallas education. For these and other accom- plishments, we pay tribute to a great man, who upon leaving us this August of l968, will leave a tradition of accom- plishment and progress Within our schools.

PRI CIPAL ln order for any organiza- tion to become great, it must have a capable leader and es- tablished order. A scho0l's leader is its principal. As With other leaders, a principal needs the full cooperation of lioth the faculty and student body in order to run a school efficiently. A principal is someone Whose foremost in- terest is the progression of his organization. lVlr. Santillo shares all these characteristics, but especially the last one. His interest in seeing W. T.
