What is a counselor? Websteris Dictionary defines the word as a person who counselsg adviser? But what is a good counselor? A good counselor is a person who is deeply interested and devoted to his work as well as being well-educated in his subject. Mrs. Jua- nita Presson is a woman who is all the things whichimake a good counselor: she is educated, interested, and devoted, and a persop who in- spires confidence. All of the students who will graduate from White will come in contact with Mrs. Presson. Her advice is to be con- sidered and valued, for it may help to shape and make more significant not only a school career but a lifetime career. COUNSELOR MRS. Mr fohn C. Marshall, fr. When considering major factors in the successful running of a school like Warren Travis White High School, one immedi- ately thinks of a man like Mr. John C. Marshall, Jr., our as- sistant principal. Mr. Marshall is a man who gives all the time he has when he is needed at the school. lt is most probable that he spends more time doing 'gschool-workl' after hours than almost any student spends doing homework. But somehow, in spite of meetings andlspecial problems, he is almost always there when he is needed by a student or a faculty member and is ready and able to help with any and all problems. Mr. Marshall is a man of wit and wisdom who is indispensable to our new school.

Secreta OFFICE PER ONNEL The hub of any large school is its office. All the activities in our school are initially controlled from the office. Every important announcement and all official business is carried on there. But an office is made up of the people who manage it. Here at White we have the good fortune of having an experienced and capable office staff without which a school the size of W. T. White could not be managed so smoothly. MRS.
