f COMMAND MASTER CHIEF Master Chief Ed Lavieri, a native of Connecticut, entered the United States Navy in 1983, attend- ing recruit training at RTC San Diego. California. Master Chief Lavieri's first assignment was the Fleet Intelligence Support Center at Cubi Point in the Republic of the Philippines. After promotion to IS2, he transferred to a Sea Duty Component where he de- ployed on four different classes of ships. His next assignment was on board USS Independence CCV 625 in San Diego, California. After teaching independent duty Intelligence Specialists at the Fleet Intelligence Training Center, he transferred to the Fleet Ocean information Center in Hawaii. After a tour on board USS DUBUOUE QLPD 85 in Sasebo, Japan, he also had a tour on board USS INDEPENDENCE fCV 625 in San Diego, California. After Teaching independent duty Intelligence Specialists at the FITC, he transferred to the Fleet Ocean Surveillance Center Pacific, and finally to Joint Intelligence Center Pacific. His tours also included USS KITTY HAWK fCV 635, Intelligence Specialist Detailer at Navy Personnel Command in Moonlighting. Tennessee. Master Chief Lavieri's Hrst Command Master Chief tour was at United States Naval Forces Central Command CCOMUSNAVCENT5 in Bahrain. ln June 2005. Master Chief Lavieri re- ported aboard USS WHIDBEY ISLAND fLSD 415. Master Chief Lavieri now serves as Command Master ChiefoftheNavaIWarCollege.MasterChiefL ' ' , avieri has Qualihed as an Enlisted Surface and Aviation Waffaf? 5DeciaIist. Navy Achievement Medal ffour awards5 and numerous Campaign and unit awards. 5 4 ri Master Chief Gunner's Mate Kevin Morgan, a natived Amsterdam, Ohio, entered the United States Navy in 1985, attending recruit training at RTC San Diego, California. Master Chief Morgan's first assignment was Pre-Commissioning Unit for USS MISSOURIQ 635, which was commissioned in May 1986. He re- I ported for Instructor Duty in March 1990 at Fleet Co bat Training Center Atlantic QFCTCLANT5 where he instructed in both the 5 l38 Gun Mount and 5 l54 M 45 Gun Mount courses on instruction. While assign to F CTCLANT, he earned the designation as Mastef Training Specialist. He was then assigned to USS KIDD QDDG 9935 in March 1993, where he advanced to Chief Petty Officer in September 1993. In October 1996 he reported to Fleet Technical Support Center Atlantic QFTSCLANT5 where he was assigned as a Technical Representative for the 5 !54 MK Gun Mount and various small arms weapons systems. His next assignment was USS CAPE ST GEORGE QCG 715 reporting in August 1999. He was advanced to GlvlCS while sewing onboard. He then reported to Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity Norfolk fSIMA5 in March 2003 where he was assigned as Leading Chief Petty Officer for the 250 personnel assigned to SlMA's largest Repair Division. The Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance QMARMC5 was established during his tour, with SIMA being one of several major commands that was part of this merger. He was advanced to Master Chief Petty Ofhcer during his tour at SIMA! iviARivic. In April 2006, Master Chief Morgan repvflefl aboard USS WHIDBEY ISLAND CLSD 415 where haf currently assigned as the command's 3-MC and Ship's Maintenance and Material Officer. Master Chief Morgan has qualified as an Enlisted Surface Spe- cialist.
