Till fa N1 1 Wheaton Winds Up Winning Season Wheaton's Crimson Knights started their third successful season of Varsity Football with a crushing victory over Gaithersburg and finished with seven wins and only two losses. One high- light of the season was the defeat of Sherwood, which until then had been unbeaten. Special awards came toward the end of the season. B. Quinter and C. Holmes made the second string on the All-Suburban Team with J. Goldberg and G. Tippett receiving honorable mention. V. Savoca not only made All-Subur- ban, but All-State and All-Metropolitan as well. Varsity Shows lts Merit in Bi-County League Another first for Wheaton was chalked up this year in basketball by the Knights who can now compete with other Varsity teams in the area on an equal basis as members ofthe Bi-County League. Highlights of the season were the tilts with Bethesda-Chevy Chase and Montgomery Blair. At these games, both home and away, large crowds from Wheaton demonstrated the keen interest of the school by the spirit they exhibited during the contests. Proving Wheaton's great potential un- der Coach Drown, the team has developed into a single working unit with each man doing his part. I.
