Imagine trying to type while a student yelled l've , from left to right, Ruth Woodling, Margaret Buehrle, Mildred - with a minimum of nervous breakdowns! 40 ,g,, Wheaton shares Katherine Greany with Colonel Belt Junior High. Miss Greany divides her time between Wheaton and Belt, acting as General Supervisor at both schools. A counselor is a special person - a sympathetic guide who provides light for uncertain feet, and help for bewildered minds. Wheaton's three counselors were every bit as special as could be de- sired. Mr. Elwood Mason, principal, has guided Wheaton through its first three years with a firm hand, and with the welfare of the students always upper- most in his consideration. Although he cannot, of course, be known per- sonally by all of the student body, his influence is felt in all parts of school life. Executive Reins Were in Capable Hands Miss Henrietta Baker has been vice-princi- pal at Wheaton since its first year. Miss Baker, who is well known by faculty and students alike, is responsible for the weekly assemblies and the daily P.A. announce- ments which are an integral part of school life. 4 Mr. William Gruver, Wheaton's new vice- principal, has had the momentous job of handling student-teacher-parent relation- ships, and he has shown himself to have all of the necessary qualifications. He has also the less arduous but equally time- consuming job of supervising attendance.
