DEDICATION On December 21, 1962, the new Wey- mouth High School was opened to the students for the first time. The exten- sive plans and construction of this building were culminated in the fulfill- ment of a much awaited promise, the promise of a, building erected for the continued improvement of education. We, the class of 1963, wish to convey our profound gratitude to the towns- people of Weymouth. As taxpayers, they have served as the constructors of our institutions, the builders of our youth. Through their support a dream of educational development has been realized. Without education, progress is impossible, for education is the in- dispensable step in the formation of ideas. It is therefore requisite that edu- cational methods be continually im- proved and expanded, in order that they might provide the full advantage for continued development of the in- quiring minds of today ' s youth. In our constantly changing world, and in the face of ideological strife, it has become even more essential that we prepare our youth mentally, physically and spiritually to carry out the enor- mous responsibilities of the adultworld. Therefore, we recognize the value, ma- terially and morally, of the new high school. Environment affects the work of students. With the introduction of modern architectural designing and the extension of classroom and school re- sources, individual achievement is ac- celerated; the students are inspired to continue in their endless search for knowledge. In acknowledgement of the immense contribution this new school will make to our future successes, we gratefully express our heartfelt thanks to the townspeople of Weymouth and dedicate to them this record of our apprenticeship.
