Progress through education; education through progress - these are two ideals sought by our generation as we endeavor to advance the intellectual potentials of our youth. Through the educational system of today, we attempt to reach ever-ascending heights of de- velopment in order to produce the alert minds, creative abilities and intellectual capabilities necessary to produce ac- complishments worthy of our past and essential to our future. Progressive de- velopment follows academic achieve- ment. By the application of knowledge and skill acquired through education, we are able to fulfill man ' s destiny to surge forward and upward. Our intel- lectual endeavors will be the launching pad for America ' s future successes. Sci- entific, social, and cultural advances, integral parts of any mobile society ' s hopes and dreams, can only be pro- duced by mature, highly developed minds. The achievement of our na- tion ' s noble purpose of world peace and enlightenment is thus inevitably linked with the progress of education - they will advance or stagnate inexo- rably together.
