l985-S6 Girls Basketballm 'ur- For two seniors, four juniors, two sophomores, two freshmen, and Coach Charles Johnson, l985-86 proved to be an historical and exciting year. These young ladies made-up the Lady Indian Basketball team. Although they fell short of their initial goal, a State Championship, this team gained everyone's respect and much recognition for our school. These young women captured the Area Championship and finished the regular season ranked 7th in the state. Their I6-4 record was the best ever posted by a Wetumpka girls' basketball team. In sub-region play they defeated Chilton County before losing by one point to a strong Southside team.
