l9S5-S6 Varsity C eerleaders One of the many problems the Varsity cheerleaders faced this year was choosing a summer clinic to attend. Because the AHSAA did not hold its annual clinic, the squad chose to attend the NCA clinic held at Auburn University in July. Before clinic, the squad worked numerous hours pre- paring cheers for competition. Their efforts were reward- ed at clinic where they received superior ribbons every day. The squad was judged on home cheers, incorporation Kim Blankenship Senior of jumps and stunts into clinic cheers and chants learned each day, and overall spirit. The new and interesting things they learned at camp helped them to prepare exciting pep rallies this year. Chief Wetumpka , our new mascot also added excitement to the pep rallies and games.
