1615. Sw-sm x 'H ' . f -1. nz.:-0-A aff-ia 'qgffl ,, td - ' N Posters, Lawn Projects, and Speeches Make Sophie Elections Interesting Posters and lawn projects covered the walls and the ground both inside the buildings and outside. The gay jingles, rhymes, funny drawings and colorful designs not only caught everyone's eye and brought smiles to many faces, but stuck in everyone's mind until election time for the Sophomore offices. Talking to a basketball swinging some beads having a shoot out ... or even getting tough with karate were some of the Sophie candidates' ideas to help them along with their speeches during the election assembly. Clever was the word, for the winners had tough competi- tion from others. jim Wright won the title of sophomore class president with Tony Flores as sophie vice-president to help him out. Vickie Tobey won the title of sophomore secretary. Michelle Harris and julie Crum both received the jobs of publicity director. Tammy Richardson got in the swing of things as special services director. Celeste Cummins, Sandy Hernandez, jana Nugent, and Susan Malone were elected as the spirit raisers for the underclassmen. Top Right: Can you see why cheery Celeste Cummins was elected as one ofthe junior varsity cheerleaders? Top Middle Right: Performing special services, a bead-swinging Tammy Richardson keeps the audience entertained. Top Far Right: Hai! Chop, chop! screams karate expert julie Crum as she demonstrates some kung fu tactics. Bottom Far Right: With the help of Basketball jones, Tony Flores bounced his way into the soph- omore vice-presidency. Bottom Middle: Shooting up a storm, Vickie Tobey tries to capture her share of votes. Her gun-shooting antics elected her sophomore secretary. Below: Getting into the swim with jim was easy enough as jim Wright proved to be another Mark Spitz. -'Q Y gorge. 'tl
