Mesa-Westwood Week Activates Rivalry Mesa-Westwood Week 1973 was no ordinary week, for the spirit of Westwood Warriors was evident for five full days. Monday, the 24th of September started the events off with Lick 'em Up day. Students were given suckers to lick up some enthusiasm. Tuesday was Stomp 'em day, with many students wearing their combat boots. Wednesday was Chew 'em Up day and War- riors were treated to bubble gum. Thursday was known as Mash 'em Up day, and M8tM's were mashed in honor of Mesa. Friday, the 28th of September was the day everyone had waited for. A funeral was held for the poor Mesa lackrabbit at lunch time. The week was topped off by a 54-21 victory over our cross-town rivals. 26-MESA WESTWOOD WEEK I . r Thrills, dancing, sadness, and a big win were all part of Mesa-Westwood r-' Week.
