DEDICA TION The Chieftain staff has choosen to dedicate this yearbook to one of the most outstanding men in his field, Assistant Principal Pat Pomeroy. Although Mr. Pomeroy was new to Westwood this year, through his work with the students and Student Council, the spirit of school unity and organization class competition has greatly increased. He has given full support to all interschool sports events and participated in the planning of many outstanding social activities. Before his coming to serve at Westwood Mr. Pomeroy worked for the Mesa school system for only five years, but he has taught almost every subject from typing to AA American problems. He has also spent a year as principal of Longfellow Elementary School. To fill his military obli- gation Mr. Pomeroy spent four years as a navigator for the United States Air Force. I-Ie still is active in the Air National Guard. 6 K 15 vxvyxv ',,v'km.t., 1 nauffl 1. D'
