This year was quite a successful one financially as well as functionally for the Girls' Athletic Association. The candy store brought in much profit. With some of if this money, A.A. gave a party for the girls, and bought new athletic equipment. :X , The executives for this year were: Linda johanning, if Q' president, Kit Woods, vice-president, Char Penfield, A Along with these four, a board of team managers was included in the association. Not to be forgotten was the fun and friendly com- petition of the intramural games. Joyce Lower, captain of the Brown team, and Pat llunt, captain of the White v ,mf A-fi n team were'also included in the A.A. ' Typists .......... Cecily Bernheim, Felicia Forsythe, , Carol Corkey, and Sybil Stocking. 'sg V ' ' Did somebody say Sunday chaos in the Senior Parlor? That means only one thing: Work Sunday for the 1953 staff of the Brown and White, the school newspaper. Helen and Doug, heading the crew as co-editors, more than once switched the board around, adding, subtracting, and working for the best teamwork and skill among their staff members. Such Sundays brought batteries of typewriters, paper, victrolas, and cookies, and about ten Bee and Dubbers jammed into the Girls' Senior Parlor. Who wants to headline? , Penelope, it's all yours! , Pass the cookies , and Who wrote this little mess? , rose at frequent intervals above Brahms' First and the banging typewriters. Yes, they were fantastic, hard-working days. We hate to realize that when Volume XXXVIII-Number 8, goes to press, it will be our last. However, we hasten to add that everything that comes from being on that great staff is contagiousg so we pass it all on, the work, the fun, the jokes, to you the board of '54, with our best wishes for a successful year.
