Looking back, this year's hockey season was a very suc- cessful one. Coached by Mary Borton and managed by Judy Weller, the team showed school spirit and teamwork, and the string of victories racked up was ord the largely Senior team, cap- tained by Elly Keiser, won all but one outside game, losing only the first. After this one defeat by Moorestown, 3-1, they tied Swarthmore with a O-0 score and were able to avenge last year's game by a 3-1 victory over West Chester, a team undefeated for two years. Although the jayvee did not win as many games, they too had a good season from the standpoint of spirit and fun. In the three intra-school games, the boys first showed their superiority by trouncing the girls 2-1, despite the efforts of each girl to get her man, and Stone House proved to the girls that they should stick to hockey by beating them 4-2 in the annual soccer game. The Faculty put up a good and hilarious fight, but the girls won 1-O. Characteristics of the season stay with us: bus rides with singing drivers, the ups and downs of the games, holding up the baggy sweatpants, Teacher Mary's pep talks.
