GIRLS’ BASKETBALL Success” seemed to be the key word in this year’s sports, and the girls’ basketball proved no ex¬ ception. Missing the undefeated” title by loss of only one game, they piled up a score of 234 points against 124 for combined opponents. High scorers were Nancy Woodman with 105 points, Gwendolyn Gale with 65 points, and Joan Brouillette with 54 points, for first team; Dottie Sheehan with 43 points, and Sally Caffrey with 34 points for second team. Lois, Barbara and Phee deserve special credit for their excellent guarding, and substitutes Beverly and Joan should get a big hand, too. Thus, with spirit and sportsmanship on the rampage, our girls went through a season of eight games, winning six, tying one, and losing one.
