PHOE ICIAN DEDIC T10 To effect the utmost progress in the student's educational development, a teacher must function as more than a mere proctor. His devotion must be limitlessg his personal involvement, deep and extensive: his leadership, inspir- ing. In fact, since the enduring value of any formal education depends pri- marily on the quality of instruction, a teacher's contribution is not only impor- tant but is paramount to the ultimate achievements of the student. Therefore, recognition is here extended to one Who has helped create for Westmont Hilltop Senior High School the prestige that it now possesses in the community of schools. With pride and gratitude, the staff of the 1966 Phoenician dedicates its book to a teacher, coach, advisor-Mr. William Askey.
