The letters actually stand for National Forensic League, a high school honor- ary society founded in 1925 for the promotion of interscholastic public speaking. The society has 140, 000 members in some 1,000 chapters across the country. Westminster's speech team has won three straight years of competition, tied for the top number of superior ratings, won the trophy at the Adams -Arapahoe League Championship, and has three members who have attained the highest degree awarded to high school students in the United States Under the Guidance of Mr. Wilcox, Westminster's speech team has become the pride of the school. Carol Borelli, President, Dave Davis, Vice President, Peggy Ranum, Secretary, and Roger Hara, F.M.P. Trains Future Nurses Future Medical Personnel, F .M.P. , have just this year changed their name from Future Nurses of America in order to expand their training into other medical fields. The Club's purpose is to train and give those interested in medicine an in- sight into the various aspects of medicine Members meet twice a month under an authorized constitution. Dues are .50 per semester and the money is spent for field trips, parties, and extra instruction. 49
