Donde Hay Gana-Hey Mana Donde Hay Gana-Hay Mana. Where There's a will there s a way. Such is the motto of the Spanish Club members. Students eligible for membership must be in first or second year Spanish Classes. The Club provides opportunity familiarization with the customs and language of our neighbors south of the border. Practical applica- tion of conversation and usage is an aim of the Club. Various field trips and activities encourage mem- bers to further their knowledge. Honor Students Stress 4 Ideals The purpose of the National Honor Society is to build better citizens for tomorrow To do this the members emphasize four major ideals Leadership, scholarship, l character, and service. Membership is a traditional and national honor. Each year promising students are nominated by their teachers and from the group the top young people are sel- ected for membership. Included in the Club are students from all three class levels.

On the job experience is part of the preparation for teaching pro- vided for the Future Teachers of America. Besides gaining inval- uable knowledge to aid them in their teachings, these girls also develop qualities which they may use in their own homes. The club has participated in a district meeting in Aurora, and a state convention in Colorado Springs. Other projects included guest speakers, donating a Thanksgiving basket, and a money raising project.

The objectives of Distributive Education are concentrated upon the idea of improving service to the customer in all branches of distribution. The three primary objectives are: To offer balanced, comprehensive, instructional pro- grams in all areas of marketing. To aid in improving techniques of distri- bution. To develop an understanding of the social and economic responsi- bilities of those engaged in distribution in a free competative society. Distri- butive Education offers an avenue for projecting the school into the com- munity by providing a connecting link between the school and the business community. 46
