Members must meet rigid specifications among which are: earn a letter , exhibit good character, observe rules of training as set down by his coach, and maintain a good scholastic average. Although the club is small and unique, it performs many school services and functions. They sponsor a special dance, boxing tourneys, furnish programs to games, aid civic sports programs, and try to leave behind them a special gift for the school. In this regard, the Lettermen gave the school a movie camera in 1961, and hope to donate a new trophy case this year. It has been found that the athletes deserve a special thanks for services rendered. A

Youth For Christ is for all students Whatever their indivi- dual preference may be. Members meet once a Week to discuss various topics pertaining to living the good life as outlined in the Bible. Quizzes sharpen individual minds. A special quiz team is in operation and stresses proficiency in Biblical knowledge.

Future I-Iomemakers adopt the theme of building better citizens. Their projects lend themselves toward this end. Among them were projects to make cookies for the Old Folks Home during Thanksgiving, gifts to needy families during Christmas, working on a state project Operation Teen Angel helping retarded and under- priviledged children by making toys, books, scrapbooks, and collecting money for the state-operated homes in Denver and Grand junction. These were but a few of the projects. Their most important was contributing support for a Korean 12-year-old. Along with this, the girls made dis- plays and wrote to Korea.
