Members of Math Club spend wakeful hours puzzling over their problemS. Science Bigfs Step U To Space The science buffs, when not freezing goldfish in liquid oxygen, Wiring doorknobs to shock the unsuspecting, and other similar little niceties are seriously studying problems of science in today's world. Space science, physics, and chemistry are subjects of concern to members of the Science Club. Experiments of all kinds increase knowledge and provide areas of common interest. 29 Math Club Tries mblem Solving Problem-solving is of mayor in- terest to members of Math Club when it meet once a Week in Mrs. Provines' room. Students inter- ested in math meet to increase their knowledge and to pool their experience in attacking complex problems. Among their activities are field trips, parties, and Work sessions. Science Club makes successful attempt at wiring doors.

Is For Girls Who EHj.Ql Athletics Peggy Ranum-Sec. , Mary Morton-Tres. , Mrs. Herron-Sponsor, Sandy Hansen-Vice Pres. , Sherril Tyus-Pres. 1141? ta 30 The purpose of G. A. A. is to promote a better understanding of sports to the girls of Westminster High who maintain a C average or better. The club tries to achieve this by having the girls participate in the various sports. By participating the girl is able to get more out of watching the different sports for she understands the rules by which they are played and the object of the game. Also a girl enjoys a game if she understands it. Some of the sports covered within the club are football, volleyball, basketball, bowling, swimming, track, and baseball. G. A. A. is for those who really enjoy sports and wish to know more about them both in subject matter and skill.
