as .v . . ad l -'r In 25 years fashions come, go, and return again Although many changes have occurred in the fashion world in twenty five years, there is one thing that has not changed and that is the privilege for every person to express his individuality through dress. Twenty five years ago parents were aghast because teenage boys chose blue jeans, white T- . T . ' shirts, white socks and loafers. The girls N' . went from pedal pusher pants, to sailor I blouses, poodle skirts, white socks and pony I fans. fifltgrbi? Today, there are many trends and styles that range from preppy to new romantic and anything in between. The message is the same, being an indi- vidual means standing alone and saying, This is me. ln today's society, fads and fashion allow many choices. Hemlines, for instance, are the wearer's choice from mini skirt length, knee length, to below the knee, and so on down toward the ankle. Today, upperclassmen add a touch of class to campus by sporting brand names such as Polo shirts, Levi's 501, Hunter's Run sweaters, Esprit shirts, Ralph Lauren oxford shirts, Sperry Topsiders, and Nina Ricci Perfume or Halston cologne. Fashions for the masses include hats, pedal pushers, matching shoes, and stylish hair. Modeling for Clifford fphotographerl, Lucy Bristol shows off her well coordinated outfit.
