Seniors Go Hawaiian The Senior Luau took place in the gym, with about 300 enthusiastic seniors. The evening started with everyone eating a Ha- waiian meal while sitting on the floor. The show commenced with a young boy coming out and blowing a giant shell horn, a tradi- tional starter of all Hawaiian events. Then came the dancers as entertainment for the enjoyment of everyone. To keep the seniors in good spirits the following seniors showed everyone how to dance in grass skirts: Mackay Galoia, Mike Gordon, Ken Hammond, Kevin Kappen and Ken Mout. The audience laughed out loud when these beauties did their thing. Before entering the Luau, each senior voted for the Senior Luau King, Phil Car- reon, and Queen Michelle Shima.
