,eww- Gossip adds a Little Spice to life by Kathy DeCourt At first glance these pictures signify dis- cussions on homework assignments, world problems, family crisis, or other situations. Upon further observation, a person discov- ers these are all gossip sessions. This gossip may seem unimportant to some passersby, but many personal relation- ships have started during a gossip session. For example, two girls are involved in deep conversation. I adore him. The other girls leaves, and nature takes its course. Further down the walkway, you spot two football players. On closer inspection you discover that the other school's linebacker is a wimp, and a small shove will put him away. 0 Look Out Broadway! We're here Country Cabaret, presented by the per- forming arts department, was an exciting show filled with music, dancing and lots of laughs. Costumed in denim, boots, and smiles, the performers had the audience clapping and stomping along with them. Drama's Hee Haw style comedy segments kept the atmosphere light. The vocal ar- rangements written by Joe Kral the choral director, filled the stage with good country rhythm and lots of energy. The show sold out two of its three nights. Some of the more memorable numbers were I See the Light an inspiring, exuberant gospel, Coun- try Roads, an eight part harmonic ballad, and Rocky Top, the dynamic closer which brought down the house. Singing minister - James Joanson performs his solo in the sold out Cabaret. Ye Haw! Todd DeGraw and Pam Smith show their west- ern spirit. 18 Student Life! Country Cabaret ,Wim M! My-if--1
