K PJ Rob Good Editor Jim Lay Photo Editor I ,1- 11 , ,iQ My relationship with the yearbook began, in all unlikely places, in Athens, Greece. Calling home to say Happy Easter, my father informed me that Dean Kirby had called to say I was the new yearbook editor. I was slightly shocked. Afterall. l had done only one small yearbook section before. in my sophomore year. Well, I said yes Qfoolishly perhaps, but yes neverthelessj That started an educational experience I shall never forget. The first step required learning all about the darkroom. something I never really mastered Qto which my photo editor will attestj. Secondly, l came to realize just how difficult the entire process really is. This difficulty only increases when combined with a Senior Thesis. Anyway, I guess it is completec if you are now sitting there reading my soap opera. The theme ofthe book is: Westminster, A World in Itself. I could think of no better way to describe my perceptions ot this wonderful, educational, isolated institution in the middle of Missouri. I hope I have not blurred my very real love for this place with occasional sarcasm. If I have, oh well. This book is not a one man production as I sometimes bitched and moaned it was. First, I must thank my photo edtior, Jim Lay, without whom I would have been totally lost. I also wish him well as editor next year. Thanks also to Liz Dunn, assistant editor, who learned through me the real definition of procrastination. I was blessed with some very talented section editors. Cory I-Iohnbaum and Dean Cooper provided steady, reliable work and produced excellent layouts. Dawn Harju stepped in for Kim Woodruff at Classes and Living Units and did a terrific job with that difficult section. A special thanks goes to Dawn Walters who stepped in at the last minute to take over the Student Life Section when Mike Kerr did not return for short- term. Photographers Dan Roques and Jeff Hallman did a great job all year. And a final thanks goes to all my fellow annexites who put up with my bitching, bad moods, and general slobbiness. Without you guys I would have never made it. y earbook- Yearbook- Yearbook- Yearbook- . -TI
