SGA LECTURE SERIES Once again the Westminster Student Government, under the auspices of Warren I-lollrah Convocations Committee Chairman, secured several excellent and sometimes controversial speakers. These speakers in- cluded: Rusty Rhodes-Executive Director for the Com- mittee to Investigate Political Assassinations, Russ Burgess-Para-psychologist, James McCord-Watergate Burglar, and Dick Gregory. Nobel prize winning physicist Dr. William B. Shockley was also scheduled to speak. However, fears of racial violence led to the cancellation of his appearance on campus. Dr. Shockley had intended to give a speech entitled, The Moral Responsibility to Diagnose the American Negro Tragedy. The faculty also sponsored several speakers and groups which came to Westminster. Among these were John Patton Davies-China specialist and former State Department official, Ballet Folk, National Shakespeare Company and the Gene Bertoncini Duo. Rusty Rhodes explains some of the problems and 'iallacies concerning the Warren Commission Report. Former State Department oiilclal John Patton Davies speaks on the future Slno- American relation and past mistakes. 26
