F. Paul Bogan Physical Ed. Led by Coach Mrs. Hank Stone and Offensive Capt. Janet Rushton, and Defensive Capt. Sue Morisee, the Women ' s Varsity Field Hockey Team had a record of 6-6-2. They won second place in the State College Tournament. Most of the games were played away, but a choice few were played on the new turf. Under the new coach, Mrs. Stone, the girls learned new techniques in conditioning and a different viewpoint in the game. The team triumphed over Springfield, Central Connecuit, Wesleyan, University of Rhode Island, Mount Holyoke, and the University of Bridgeport. Even with the lack of equipment the team did a great job and all of us are looking forward to a better season next fall. Edward Townsend Secondary Ed. $J rtVfc WWW Sfcp 24
