Remaining active throughout the year are the girls
ot Phi Epsilon. These girls, all physical education
majors or minors, have a varied program ot educa-
tional and recreational benefit tor the entire year.
Professional spealcers, Christmas caroling, spring
house parties and a Minstrel show are all included
Phi Plpsilon on the year's program. Co-educational activities are
also included, lor these girls participate in recrea-
tional volleyball with the Men's Physical Education

An honorary organization for students in the lield
ot education, Kappa Delta Pi selects its members
from the junior and senior classes on the basis ol
scholastics, personal attributes and leadership quali-
ties. Active on Western's campus lor over thirty
years, Kappa Delta Pi states as its purposes the
encouraging ot high professional, intellectual and
personal standards among its members: and the
appu la recognizing ot outstanding contributions to educa-
tion, as well as to promote a closer bond among
students ot education.
Karen Meisel, president, has been assisted this
year by Edwin Page, vice-presidentg Aileen Hama-
moto, secretaryg and Cheryl Belding, treasurer.

is the Student National Education Association. Ac-
tivities ot the group include monthly intormative
programs, regional conterences, State Convention,
National Convention with the NEA, and sponsoring
a yearly Euture Teachers Conterence in the tall.
The chapter has two Educational Research Commit-
tees, sponsoring new ETA Clubs in high schools,
and asssisting the MEA Region Eive Conterence
held in Kalamazoo.
