Qffice Staff Purrushes D1fGCt1Of Providing assistance to both teachers and students was the job of the office staff. Aiding students with schedules and teacher relations were counselors Mrs. Julia Bradley, Mr. Bill Polson, Mrs. Maynette Dowler, Mr. Raymond Wright, Miss Dianne Rice, and Mrs. Madge Prince. Mrs. Sally Cornett and Mrs. Bessie Thomas acted as secretaries while Mrs. Gladys Wallace and Mrs. Sallie Carter were occupied with writ- ing tardy slips and early dismissals as well as answering telephones. Mrs. Bar- bara Blanks and Mrs. Billie Prince worked in the registrarls office. Mrs. Pcggie Herring and Mrs. Hazel Craig attended to matters concerning the school library while Mrs. Frances Lip- scomb efficiently handled the health of the school. This was made clear through the efforts of Mrs. Linda Allie, Mrs. Marie Young, Mrs. Janna Betsill and Mrs. Bessie Greene. Mrs. Marjorie Buhl divided her time between Human- ities and American History. New to the English Department this year were Mrs. Jeanne Hinkle, Mrs. Lindeen Grace, Mrs. Ruth Sullivan and Sponsor of the Spirit Club Mrs. ,lane Durham. Mrs. Melba Jackson supervised the Moun- tain Line and The Odyssey while the Annual Staff was under the direction of Mr. Eric Mann. Mrs. Odessa Coultas continued her work with the Student Council. Mr. Gerald McComgs com- pleted his fourth year of aviation, a growing interest at Western Hills. Other English teachers include Mrs. Alpha Wenzel, Mrs. Winifred Elliott, Mrs. Kaymarie McNerney, Mrs. Linda Prevost and aides Mrs. Bettye Gomez and Mrs. Mary Hart.
