West Hi-Utes reviews school year From the first measure of Fanfare to the last stanza of This is My School, the 1965 presentation of Bandwagon captivated the audience. Entitled iNest Hi- Litesj' it depicted the events of a year at Western Hills. The Opening Day sequence, with frazzled teachers and lost rookies, renlinded the audience of the con- fusion of early September, But what is fall without football? And when the Mustang football squad danced ballet to Swan Lake, the crowd roared with laughter The pony chorus danced amid snowflakes and ringing bells as Christnias came to West High. Next, the teachers tickled a delighted audience with their Roaring Twenties chorus line and Mrs. Spickard's version of Hard-Hearted Hanna. As spring came, young 1T1C11iS fancies turned to baseball, while Mrs. Schneider directed the choir's salute to Jerome Kern, and Mr. Brady lead orchestra. Seniors march- ing down the aisle to Pon1p and Circuinstancen and the cast's This is My School ended Bandwagon this year Ricky and Margie McBrayer susiain an impressive pose for Once in a Lifetime.

Teahouse-vvildy funny As the last play of the year, the Dramatics Department presented Teahouse of the August Moon, the excrutiatingly funny story of the Americans Marines' occupation of the island of Okinawa. Amusing incidents developed rapidly as a native interpreter QGreg Kehrerj gave ludicrous translations of military problemsg and the Marine Captain Gini Schoenbergerj , against all regulations, was presented with a beautiful Geisha girl QAlice Maxwellj . Other members of the cast included Paul Bailey, Craig McClellan, and Stephanie Chenoweth
