To experience the fullest West High teems with the joyful sounds of students rushing to join the activities swing. Enthusiastic yells of cheerleaders during practice and bursts of lively rhythms of the fight song from the marching band fill the school with that peppy spirit that spurs the teams. Shouts issue from the auditorium as the choreo- graphers, directors, and teachers try to pull the seven sequences into the final version of Bandwagon 1965. Shouts of anguish echo through the halls as Breeze and Annual editors rush to meet nearly impossible dead- lines. The shouts die down a bit, however, and quieter organizations keep their steady pace as the whole carousel of activities whirls throughout the year. r I Promoting a year of gala aclivily and worthwhile proiecfs are Junior Class officers: Cheryl Lake, Nancy Garrefson, Sherry Scull, and Bill Karas.

Alice Maxwell, the Chorus in Antigone , describes the classic friction be+ween +he doomed king, Chris Wursier, and a page, Bob Mc Gurlr. Two dissatisfied Red Peppers, an aging aciress, and the irritable owner of the 'lheafer scream at each oiher about their theairical duties. One-Act-Plays premieres at West Hi Mfatching an ancient tragedy and a contemporary comedy both in the course of the same evening is a privilege usually reserved for the television audience, but VVest High actors treated their patrons to both of these and threw in a nineteenth century comedy just for fun. The plays were condensed and the product entitled A Night of One Act Plays. Mike Morton and Susie Ruehlman sang and hoofed hilariously as The Red Peppers, harassed by an uncooperative theater manager, Rick Dorschg and aging actress, Stephanie Chenowethg and a belligerent band leader, Paul Bailey. Antigone changed the pace to tragedy with Lynda Langdon in the title role, Jim Schoenberger as Haimon, and Chris Xvurster as Creon. Fasferl Slower! Louder! No! The rowdy Red Peppers argue with +he moody musician who plays their accompanimeni and leads the band.
