hn complex wonln ln order to live wisely, we must know many different points of view and be acquainted with as much ol' other people's experience as possible. This goal is achieved largely through the study of social science, which helps the student to interpret present happenings in terms of past events, and thus to prepare himself for better citizenship. Social science enables him to see why certain things happen, and what may be expected in the future. Furthermore, the student is given an opportunity to study the lives of great men, so that he may try to pattern his life after lives of the great. Seen at the top of this page are Miss Dora Slutz, Mr. Henri Hess, Mr. T. E. Fouch, Miss .Xnna Geeting, and Mrs. Rosa johns, of the History Department. In the lower picture are Miss Jeanette Long, Miss Rebecca Krasne, Mr. -I. M. Lewis, Miss Nana Holden, of the Social Science Department. Page 15
