Student Council The second year of the Student Council has proven to be a great success. The Council has worked hard to pro- mote school loyalty and to better the relations between students and teachers. By their hard work, the Homecoming Bonfire, open house, and their many other projects helped to make our school what it is today. To the Student Council, we would like to say one big, Thank You. The Future Homernakers of America, sponsored by Miss Pat Hurst, is in their third year of existence at Western Heights. The FHA is one of the most active organizations in the school. FHA'ers take part in many activities and parties during the school year and throughout the summer. Two years ago the FHA sponsored a career day in which people of different occupations came and spoke to the students. We know that the FHA will continue to be active this year. Senior High Pep Club The Iettettes, along with their sponsor and cheerleaders have headed the list on school spirit this year. The Jettettes have attended all the assemblies, football games and basketball games to back the Big Jets. These girls will always re- member the thrill of helping bring on a victory. Come on, Pep Though the Senior High Jettettes are small in number, they're big on spirit. The Iettettes have cheered the Big Jets on to many victories. 82
