, , .W !??,g5gg,?,.' , - ln many ways, it was a record-breaking year for Westbury's foremost yearbook staff, C The Citadel Mob. This year more and grainier photos were accepted at later times out of more desperation than ever before. More of those pictures were lost, mislaid, or smoked than ever, and more good ideas went down the drain because of lack of time than anyone cares to think about. To say that the staff operated from Room 1 17 is accurate, perhaps. That it, they were never actually in Room 1 17 -they were merely FROM Room 1 17. My kingdom for staffer! was a cry heard often as YB wandered about searching for his business manager or his Orgs editor. When the staff was on duty, however, you could bet there was a deadline in the works. Then things got serious, and desperation pulled work from all aboard. And a good time was had by all. f g , Sv z 4, 1 A I just love to mash carrots. Terry Ger- ber. A Why does YB like me? Susan Kress. A Well, if that's the only picture of Mrs. Lodge, print it! A Little Miss Muffett refuses to rough it! Jamie Farr. A The way we were. Jackie Ferrara. Page 331

Accepting all the credit forthe good pictures and all the blame for the bad, The Photographers live lives of quiet desperation. Judy and Violet, Girl Photographers, Burt Bachrach, the kid who wasn't weaned, and Peter Sellers, resident adventurer - all huddled in the dark for the magic moment when the paper and the chemicals turned to steak and brew. lmages! was the cry whenever anything worked.
