AOfticers: Stephen Rubin, Stephanie Megna, Eliot Altman. An astoundingly large group ot three people gathered in the tall to make plans for the Medical Careers Club. Things got off to a slow start, but being future doctors and nurses they decided to have patience. Finally, during the second six weeks, the members participated in the Westbury Hospital Disaster Drill. Students played the roles of victims in a staged tornado at Westbury, thus giving the doctors at Westbury Hospital a chance to practice for similar disasters. Page The Westbury High School chapter ot The Red Cross sponsored a carnival tor orphans at Burnett- Bayland, visited the Golden Age Manor on a regular basis, and made truit baskets at Easter for the senior citizens at Golden Age. Page Probably the most organized organization on campus is the twenty-four member National Defense Cadet Corps. Under the leadership of Col. Carstarphen, this year's Corps guarded the school during the infamous Bellaire week festivities, helped Mr, Washington in the parking lot, served as an emergency squad during bombings and fires, and guarded the Flebelettes at football games. This year's rifle team placed second in district and fared well at the February 7 inspection. ggi, A 'Bout time this man 's army got a piper.
