Colonel C. C. Albaugh is the Coordinator of Development at Wesleyan. He is directing the many new development plans on the campus. He received his degree from Glenville State College. Before coming to Wesleyan, Colonel Albaugh served as president of the Association of Independent Colleges. ± B Dean of the College, Orlo Strunk, Jr., is the chief disciplinary officer. In addition to this important responsibility, he teaches psychology, supervises educational programs, aids in selecting the faculty, and in the editing of the Wesleyan bulletin. His personal interests extend to writing books on religion and psychology. Dean Strunk received his AB from West Virginia Wesleyan, STB from Boston University School of Theology and Ph.D. from Boston University. He did post-doctoral work at the Boston University School of Education and Harvard University ' s Center for the Study of World Religions. Heyward A. Williams has served effectively as Treasurer of Wesleyan since 1942. His tasks include collecting student fees and -room and board, as well as supervising the college ' s yearly income and budget. Mr. Williams received his BA from West Virginia Wesleyan. Assistant to the Dean of the College, Dr. Walter L. Brown coordinates many faculty- student matters. In this way he relie es the Dean of much of his burden. He is also Professor of Education and teaches Audio-Visual Media. Dr. Brown is very interested in communications and is a main force behind the proposed centrex-phone system on campus. Dr. Brown received his BS in Chemistry at West Virginia Wesleyan. MS and Ed D. in Education at Indiana University. He also attended Ithaca College and Cornell. In 1964, Dr. Brown took up his present post. 15

Wesleyan President Stanley H. Martin Dr. Stanley H. Martin came to West Virginia Wesleyan College as its president in 1957 with a background of seven years with the General Board of Education of the Methodist Church as secretary of the department of loans, scholarships, and per- sonnel. Previous to this he served as chaplain and profes- sor of religious education at Boston University, as chaplain and professor of psychology at Simpson College and at the University of Iowa as assistant pastor and minister to the students. Dr. Martin received his Bachelor of Sacred The- ology degree at Boston University School of Theol- ogy. Boston University awarded him his Master of Arts and his Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The Wesleyan president is a member of the Uni- versity Senate of the Methodist Church, past presi- dent of the Buckhannon Rotary Club and the Buck- hannon Chamber of Commerce, and is presently a member of the Board of Directors of both the local and the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Mar tin is also a member at large of the Na- tional Council of Boy Scouts of America and is a member of the Central West Virginia Council. He is a past president of the Foundation for Independent Colleges of West Virginia and is a member of the Association of College and University Presidents. He is listed in Who ' s Who in American Educa- tion, in Trustees, Presidents, and Deans of American Universities and Colleges, in Who ' s Who in America, and in Who ' s Who in the Methodist Church.

Samuel M. Ross capably acts as Dean of Men. He has as duties, counseling individuals, directing student aid, setting up men ' s housing, and advising. In addition to these activities, he serves as co-ordinator of Health Education classes and instructs Directed Teaching classes. Dean Ross has a BS from West Virginia Wesleyan and a MS degree from West Virginia University. He has served on Wes- leyan ' s campus since 1956. As Dean of Students, Richard Cunningham aids the Wes- leyan Community in such areas as housing, extracurricular and social activities of the student body. He also teaches Human Development and is an Associate Professor of Psy- chology. Dean Cunningham ' s degrees include BS and MA from the University of Pittsburgh. He has served Wesleyan since 1959. Dean Marian McBrair, working as Dean of Women, counsels Wesleyan ' s women students and advises the administration on needed improvements in women ' s housing. In addition to this, she is an Associate Professor of Education. Dean McBrair has an AB from Carroll College, an AM from Northwestern University, and an Ed. D. from Columbia University. She has been at Wesleyan since 1961. Patton L. Nickell is Wesleyan ' s busy but efficient registrar. His other duties include acting as certification officer and director of summer school and teaching in the Business Administration Depart- ment. Mr. Nickell is also Assistant Pro- fessor in the Depart ment of Education. He has served Wesleyan during the years 1959-1962 and 1963-1966. Mr. Nickell holds a BS degree from West Virginia Wesleyan and an MA in Education from Marshall University. 16
