REGISTRAR Patton L. Nickell began working in the Regis- trar ' s office during his undergraduate days. To- day, as Registrar of Wesleyan, Mr. Nickell is re- sponsible for registering students, scheduling examinations, preparing transcripts, and teaching in the Business Department. DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS CENTER Mr. James Stansbury, Director of the Campus Center, and Mrs. Clifford Summers, Assistant Di- rector are responsible for all activities and de- partments of the Center. CHAPLAIN Wesleyans Chaplain, Dr. Sidney L. Davis, plans chapel services, makes arrangements for speakers, and teaches Bible courses. Reverend Davis also serves as advisor to ex- change students. DIRECTORS OF ADMISSIONS Mr. Raymond Kiser, Director of Admissions, and Mrs. Thelma Kess- ler. Assistant Director of Admissions, select nevi students each year and process their applications for admis- sions. Information about Wesleyan is sent to students throughout the Eastern United States supplemented by many trips to interview prospec- tive students. 22

TREASURER Collecting student fees for tuition, room and board, and supervising the distribution of the college funds, Heyward A. Williams rarely finds time to enjoy the counting-house. As Wesleyan expands, the treasurer ' s role becomes increas- ingly more important. DEAN OF WOMEN Dr. Marion McBrair serves Wesleyan women as a counselor and advises the administration on needed improvements con- cerning women students. DEAN OF STUDENTS Wesleyan ' s Dean of Students, Mr. Richard Cunningham, serves the student body by arranging student housing and acting as advisor concerning extracurric- ular and social activities. DEAN OF MEN As Dean of Men, ' Sam ' Ross ' duties include counseling, Stu- dent Aid, men ' s housing, and maintaining the good conduct of men students. J 1 k 21

COLLEGE HOSTESS Miss Nellie G. Wilson is the offi- cial greeter of all visitors at Wes- leyan and arranges receptions and entertainment. Miss Wilson also serves as Head Resident at Jenkins Hall. DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS Mr. Creel S. Cornv ell has the responsibility of keeping the public informed about Wesleyan. He is co-worker with Mr. Jock Hodge through pictures, articles, and moving pictures. DIRECTOR OF AUDIO- VISUAL SERVICES This service is headed by Rev. Earle N. Carlson who has charge of all audio-visual equipment and tap- ing of programs for radio and tele- vision broadcasts. Such a program is hoped to increase audiovisual teach- ing aids on campus. SUPERINTENDENT OF BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS William B. Hicks Jr. is responsible for the maintenance of all campus buildings. He also registers vehicles and enforces traffic regulations on campus in co-ordination with the Traffic Committee. DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI AFFAIRS Keeping in contact with alumni, maintaining their records, editing the Sundial, and managing the an- nual alumni appeal, are duties of Mr. Jack Hodge. He is also in charge of reunions and alumni Homecoming activities. 23
